Chickens

Raising chickens on the farm for the last 20+ years, we have certainly found a few items that we especially love, & are worth every dollar spent. Once you delve into the world of laying hens, I fondly refer to as my “ladies”, there is no going back 😊

After all, they offer an edible gift daily, are enjoyable & friendly to visit, AND may be the easiest of farm animals to care for.

Very similar to my antique egg gathering basket. An invaluable tool for gathering the ladies nuggets daily!
When it comes to watering chickens, galvanized steel is the way to go. Especially when living in colder climates and using in conjunction with a heater.
When the need to keep chickens water in, well, water form & not ice, a heater may be necessary.
Looking to feed poultry while keeping the feeder off the coop floor? This hanging option is what works for us!
Personally I don’t trust heat lamps for keeping those baby chicks toasty. This adjustable brooder is a safe alternative for small clutch brooding.
